A kid's product called Pillow Pets are one of the top selling children's products last year for 2009 and so far in 2010. In fact so many parents bought them as Christmas gifts for their kids last year, it was sold out in November and December in many stores across the US and online as well.

So what really makes these toys so unique? At first glance, it seems to be similar to any normal cute stuffed animal to parents. However, their unique feature is they can actually pop lead to a full size children's hat pillow can be used to relax or take a nap on. That's why these animals have the name of toy cushions.

This is achieved through the use of Velcro binge. If you make the velcro undone, opens and becomes a pillow. To return to the original soft toy lush again simple attach the Velcro.

With this dual function, and a commercial with a catchy tune for the children, many children have their mothers and fathers, for an application. Ihave heard of many parents becoming irritated because their kids were singing the Pillow Pets song that goes, "It's a pillow. It's a pet. It's a Pillow Pet." all the time.

A mother of two in San Diego was the original creator of the Pillow Pets. The reason that led to the invention was that she was tired of her children leaving their stuffed toys all over the bedrooms and the home. So she decided she was making a stuffed toy that was also a useful item. She later came up with the concept it will be a pillow.

Because of this, she ended up creating a millionaire dollar industry and her creation is being sold in stores on a national scale. The original product line only had six various animals but has now expanded to over thirty different ones. Also, complementary products like backpacks, blankets, slippers and books were released as a result of success.

Pillow Pets are available in two different sizes. The large sized ones are 18 inches wide while the smaller ones are 11 inches.
