Extra Strength Dog Chew Toys are what I consider to be those that last beyond the 2 or 3 weeks that many of my failed gifts to Lester have been around over the years. There are a great many dog chew toys on the market today, but they are generally manufactured from thin grade rubber, which won't even stand up to a thorough going over by a human set of gnashers, let along a professional chewer like my dog!
I looked around on the web, and soon found that there are many people out there with the same problem, and they all seem to turn to one of 2 products, when all else has failed them. The King chew toy claims to be the toughest in the world, being make from extra strength rubber, and it has a hollow inner section, into which you can place treats for your dog to get at, using any means necessary. The Kong range has been designed with the toughest teeth in mind, and I've yet to see a terrible review of them on the web.
The other product which ranks well amongst dog owners is the Fire Hose range. Imagine an actual fire hose, and you have something that resembles this toy - designed for tugging and extreme attack from dog teeth, it also promotes interaction with your dog, through "tug of war" play, and again has a good reputation for lasting beyond a few weeks. In fact, the last one I bought, over a year ago, is still going strong!
